Oh wow, I have a very neglected blog. My apologies! It's been a while, and so I am going to start with a beautiful family session I recently had at Timberline Lodge. It was a picturesque day with all the recent snow fall, and this family has some special memories attached to the mountain. It was absolutely perfect.

I recently had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful January wedding at Portland Art Museum. It was divine. The bride was stunning, the groom was handsome, and their little girl couldn't be more adorable. It was a fun ceremony mixed with Hawaiian heritage and elegance. The reception was a blast, and I had a hard time staying professional and not cutting loose on the dance floor myself with everyone else. I wish them all the love and happiness in the world.

I have been SO BUSY since October, and have just let the blog slip behind a few months. Shame on me! I will try harder this coming year to keep up with it and give small samples of the sessions to share. How Beautiful is this little girl?! Seriously! I met Mom and daughter in the quaint town of St. Helens for some 4 year old shots. What a fun session it was. I think they turned out great.

This is gonna be one handsome baby! I met this couple at their home for some laid back maternity portraits, but it was when we headed to the park that the adventure began. A downpour moved in the moment we pulled into the park. So, we called it a day and finished the session the next day. They're troopers.

Little Kora was born two months ago, and what a sweetie pie. Since she is an older newborn that means a challenge for me to move her without fussiness, but we did it with help from mom and dad. Congratulations to this beautiful new family!

I can't get over how stunning this young lady is! I met her and her mom at the the barn where she keeps her horse. I think it is such a wonderful thing to incorporate your interests and hobbies into your senior portraits, and it is straight up awesome to include your horse! These photos will mean so much to her, and I was thrilled to take them for her. I wish her best of luck in her last year of high school!

The Montana girls are back!

These lovely little ladies have traveled quite a distance for a playdate with their best friend. Even though they have moved to Montana, they still visit each other, and what a great reason for some fun, playful photographs! I met these little girls with their moms at a park with lots of ducks. They had a great time playing on the toys and feeding the duck bread while I snuck in a bunch of photos. It was a great day!

My first Senior of the summer

Well, we sure picked a scorcher of a day for these senior portraits! This young man was in great spirits despite the uncomfortable heat. I met him at his home outside of city limits on a beautiful piece of property with a pond and a driveway lined with lavender. Quite picturesque. I hope he enjoys his photos and has a great senior year!

Oh, this little girl! I have never met a 4 year old with so much spirit and spunk. She is adorable and confident, and I can always count on her to toss me a little ANTM pose. Her little brother is a sweetie pie too with generous grins. Such a beautiful family!

We have been married for 8 years today. It's been a roller coaster of moving across the country, having our beautiful children, and finally settling into where we really want to be. It's been a great ride, I can't wait for more!

This little lady could not be sweeter! I had to threaten her with some serious toe tickling to get her to crack a teeny smile, but I think her little stoic face makes for a lovely portrait too. She is a doll. On a side note, I think I am officially overusing my favorite prop, the chinese parasol. I have close to a dozen in various colors and sizes, and I can't help myself, they are just so cute!

A while back, I donated a portrait session to my son's school auction fundraiser, and the parents of these two were the lucky bidders. This was a great, laid back session in their backyard. I love these shoots when the kids are comfortable and playful with one another. It just makes for great photos. Besides having the names of two main characters on my fav TV show, these are a couple of awesome kids!

This was one of my all time favorite sessions! Two adorable little girls in matching skirts and boots, a pair of good looking parents, and locations to die for, makes for a perfect day of family photos! I met this family at their farm in the valley, and we went from place to place on their property to get a variety of awesome shots. What a beautiful piece of land they have! Thanks for a great day guys!

This family session was such a treat! It was the perfect location for the kind of images I love to capture. What a beautiful day it was, despite the weatherman teasing us with a rainy forecast! We met at grandpa's farm and I just chased around a couple of feisty boys and did my best to make them giggle a few times. It was positively perfect!

I have been dying to take some portraits of sweet Madeline, and what better excuse than a new baby sister! She showed me some of her ballet moves out in the field behind their home and it was such a joy to capture. She is absolutely beautiful. New baby Lucy is completely precious herself! There were so many cute ones in this session, I had a hard time narrowing down what to post. There were tons of smiles at this adorable session. I met this family in West Salem for some portraits of the kids in the country. Mom found some great locations, and we had a ball exploring them. It was a lovely evening, and I hope they are thrilled with the photos of these beautiful faces!

I love these maternity sessions because the couples are so full of joy, it's contagious. I met this couple in downtown Albany for some laid back and comfortable portraits. They were so sweet, so in love, and so happy for their first child together. I wish them all the best, and I can't wait to see that sweet baby girl.

This was my quickest engagement session yet. 20 minutes tops! Good thing they are friends and very understanding of my time dilemma. This old factory was just down the street from their home, so we went with it. And I am so glad we did. I can't wait for their wedding this fall, it will, of course, be beautiful.

I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with graphic designer, Michelle Zobeck. She is absolutely fabulous! She designed a new logo for me a few weeks back just in time for my booth at a fundraiser event. She really took into account all my tastes, favorite colors, and the style of my work. I love it! It reminds me of an old playing card, and it has the perfect combination of old and new. Michelle, my hat is off to you.

This is the third time I have photographed miss Sylvia, and the most fun I have had with her too. She has such a personality! She had the cutest bursts of excitement over the toy she was holding, with no warning at all. And those beautiful eyes that were really studying everything. We met at a nearby park and took the photos in the lovely rose garden. It was warm, everyone was happy, and it was a perfect day.

Look at that little face!!! I met this family out in the country for some vintage style shots of sweet Josiah. He was in such a great mood and let me follow him around with my camera, despite the heat. The light was great, and the setting was serene. It was absolutely perfect in every way.

I opened an Etsy shop this past March and thought I might try my hand at selling my skirts. I have been sewing for years, and these little pieces are my favorite creation yet. My daughter and niece have been the only ones to wear them, because I have such a hard time letting them go. Each skirt is made from a vintage embroidered pillowcase and a vintage handkerchief. Some of the linens come from estate sales, antique stores, and from family members. Thank you aunt Pearl and Great grandma Caroline! They are so girly and sweet, that I named them after my 3 year old daughter. Enjoy.

I am thrilled to be taking the couple's wedding this fall! I met them at a nearby park last week to take their engagement photos in the place where he proposed! How romantic is that?!? It was a beautiful day, and unusually warm for us. They are such a sweet couple, I couldn't be more happy for them.

Another frigid afternoon for family photos! I met these kids in a local park, where we quickly snaped shots and took breaks so they could warm up. Their grandmother from out of town wanted the grandkids all together for portraits. It turned out to be a very cold, but great session.

I met this couple at their home in the town of Halsey last Saturday. What a picturesque landscape! It was absolutely beautiful, despite the threat of rain. My new years resolution was to start blogging, so here I am! I hope that this will let others what is going on in my world and at Your Street Photography.
